Overview
As physician offices begin to implement EMR systems, there are several stages of adoption which increase with added functionality and usage. The tools in this section are designed to help gauge the current stage of EMR adoption within an office for several key capabilities of an EMR in order to help determine what needs to be done to move to the next stage. The EMR Adoption Model handbook provides background information on the tools and the current version of the adoption model (see below).
