Project: eHealth Benefits Evaluation Knowledge Translation Community
Status: Complete
-
In collaboration with Canada Health Infoway, the eHealth Observatory undertook a research project to establish a virtual benefits evaluation knowledge translation community (KT Community) to build capacity in ehealth benefits evaluation. This project brought health care professionals together to share knowledge and learn about benefits evaluation. Read more about the KT Community or view the final report and lessons learned.
This project was supported by a Canadian Institutes for Health Research Knowledge Translation Grant.
Project: Benefits Evaluation Indicators Technical Report Update
Status: Complete
In 2006, Canada Health Infoway produced the Benefits Evaluation Indicators Technical Report v1.0 introducing the Benefits Evaluation (BE) Framework and indicators for six programs: laboratory, drugs, diagnostic imaging, public health, telehealth, and iEHR. Jurisdictions across Canada have been developing and implementing health information systems as well as planning/conducting evaluations that build on the published BE Framework and indicators. The purpose of this project was to work with Infoway to review BE activities completed recently and update the technical report.
The new version of the report is available on Infoway's site here. This work was funded through the CIHR/Infoway eHealth Chair Award.
